Phase 1

VOYN! Hub implemented common events organised mutually by three VAHA peers. Initially, the team created a content for online talks series, which hosted various experts from the cultural and natural heritage fields. These included heritage specialists from numerous local and international NGOs, botanists, artists, and cultural conservation authority representatives.

Online talk series were followed by two field trips organised by CRS, where local participants were introduced to endemic plants and archaeological sites along cultural routes. In parallel to these, Are hosted two artists and held several side events during the production and exhibition of artworks by the guest artists. Are also created a town mapping of local artists, designers, manufacturers, and similar people/organisations. The main target was to make art producers and actors aware of each other and to bring their communication together on a common ground. This mapping also shows the knowledge of art actors and their productions.

Cabinets of Local Wonders – inter:cultural heritage in Altenburg and Antalya

in collaboration with Altenburg Hub

Antalya VOYN and Altenburg hubs work on two poetic themes: “the sea” and “the home”. By reflecting different perspectives on the same subjects, the two hubs aim to be able to see various narratives on significant urban and rural matters in both cities. The collaboration implemented activities in a similar format based on different local content. Objects and stories were collected during the whole year in order to form a cabinet of local curiosities depicting tangible/intangible heritage from these completely different regions. Then there were several side events in parallel such as workshops, field visits on routes, feasts, community performances, gatherings etc. Additionally, both hubs also shed light on different urban matters via talks, podcasts, open-air cinema nights and alike.
