Bundesverband der Migrantinnen in Deutschland e.V. is a nationwide, independent and democratic association founded in 2005 in Cologne by women of Turkish origin living in Germany. With 10 associations and 10 local groups across the country, the organisation advocates for a society built on peaceful coexistence, solidarity, and equal participation—free from discrimination and marginalisation.

Its activities are shaped by the needs and interests of local women, ranging from community-building gatherings such as women’s cafés and discussion evenings, to excursions and events exploring cultural and sociopolitical topics. The association also offers regular cultural and creative opportunities such as choir, dance, and theatre, providing safe spaces for expression, learning and solidarity.

Rooted in grassroots mobilisation, the organisation plays an important role in amplifying migrant women’s voices, fostering dialogue and promoting active civic engagement throughout Germany.

HABBE

HUB IDEA

HABBE, comprising Nar Science, Culture and Art Association and Dersim Yenigün Women Solidarity Association, is a collaborative partnership committed to promoting women’s rights and cultural engagement. Through this alliance, they aim to empower their members, enhance knowledge sharing, and amplify their collective voice in society. Their joint activity programme focuses on organising short film screenings that shed light on women’s challenges and societal issues. Interviews with film directors and viewers will document the process. These discussions will take place in two different cities, fostering dialogue and cultural exchange. The hub seeks to make women directors’ struggles visible and encourage public debate, ultimately generating ideas and strategies for addressing these challenges among the audience.

SAVAŞA ve EŞİTSİZLİĞE KARŞI KADINLAR BASKI YAPIYOR |Women Press Against War and Inequality

The activities we carried out within the scope of HABBE were themed on women's rights, and gender equality/inequality and aimed at increasing women's access to culture and arts. Therefore, we are planning workshops in Gaziantep and Dersim with the slogan ‘women are pressing against war and inequality’ where women will express their demands through linoleum printing, a visual art field. The workshops will last for two days. The workshops include technical training and practical work. These workshops will be led by instructors from the Berlin Gocmen Kadinlar Birligi(Bundesverband der Migrattinnen in Deutschland). We plan to exhibit the workshop works within the scope of the "25 November International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women" and bring them together with other women.

SAVAŞA ve EŞİTSİZLİĞE KARŞI KADINLAR BASKI YAPIYOR/Women Press Against War and Inequality is created in partnership with HABBE from Antep.
